  Match Day 2 Results (Monday, 25 th September )    

  Judo:  
  • Men's 81 kg: Janga Bahaduur Saaru lost to Philippines
  • Women's 57 kg: Manita Shrestha Pradhan lost to Pradayeva Maysa
  • Women's 70 kg: Punam Shrestha lost to Mongolia
  • Men's 100 Kg: Ranjesh Gol was defeated by Krikbe Galimzan of Kazakhstan in 1 minute and 7 seconds in the pre-quarterfinals on the basis of Ippon.
  • Women's 78 Kg: Akriti Joshi lost to Uzbekistan's Rinita Ilmatova in the pre quarterfinals on the basis Ippon
In judo, 8 players from Nepal competed equally 4-4 men/women. Earlier, Bikas BK, Jung Bahadur Saru and Indra Bahadur Shrestha were eliminated from the men's competition. In women, Manita Shrestha Pradhan, Devakimaya Shrestha and 13th South Asian Games gold medalist Poonam Shrestha came to an end. Among the participants, Bikas won only one 'bout'. He defeated Volodymyr Guchkov of Cambodia in the 60 kg round of 32 match with an ippon golden score.


 Taekwondo:  
  • Men's 63 Kg: Govinda Bahadur Ale won the last 32 against Timor Leste ( Josh Da Costa Silva) but lost in the last 16 with Thailand Wanglug Tumtimdang ( 14-12 & 7-8)
  • Women's 53 Kg: Ayasha Lama lost against South Korea's Haijin Park by 2-0 ( 5-17 & 0-13)
  • Women's 57 Kg: Sandhya Kumari Singh lost to Laititiya Waun by 2-0 ( 0-14 & 3-17)
  • Men's Pumse : Prem Bahadur Limbu out after clearing round 1
  • Women's Gyorori: Anjali Tamang out after clearing round 1
A total of 11 athletes from Nepal competed in taekwondo this time. In which the competition of 7 players is over. Now in Taekwondo, there are four players remaining, three men and one woman.

   Match Day 1 Results (Sunday, 24th September )    

Nepal athletes' performance in the ongoing 19th Asian Games, 2022 in Hangzhou, China hasn't been going satisfactory so far after the end of day one.  At the end of day one 18 nations have opened their medal tally in the competition. Meanwhile Nepal lost in almost all games after the end of day one in Hangzhou  Asian Games, 2022. Here are the events and results of Nepal in the day one i.e. for Sunday 24 September.


  Wusu Fight:

  • Men's Thaulo Changchwan: Vijay Sinjali secured the seventh position . He scored 9.73 in the competition in which fourteen players participated. In that event, the host China's athletes won the gold medal, while Indonesia won the silver medal and Macau won the bronze medal.
  • Women's 52 kg: Elina Choudhary was defeated by a player from Iran. 
  • Men's 56 kg: Rohit Chunara was also defeated by Kyrgyz players.
  • Men's 60 kg: Magal Prasad Tharu was also defeated by the Kyrgyz athlete
  • Men's 70 kg: Padam Rai was defeated by a player from Laos.
  • Women's Taijian: Sabita Rai finished last with a score of 8.796. In that competition, China came first, Brunei second and Thailand third.

  Boxing:  
  • Women's 60 kg: Sangeeta Sunar lost against Vietnam by 5-0
  • Men's 80 kg: Deepak Shrestha lost  against Uzbekistan by 5-0 
  • Women's 54 kg: Minu Gurung lost to Japan by 5-0

  Taekwondo:  
  • Swastika Tamang was defeated by a player from Singapore in Taekwondo Poomsae. 
  • On the men's side, Prem Bahadur Limbu lost to the Philippine player in the quarterfinals. He defeated Pakistani players in the pre-quarter finals.

  Judo:  
  • Vikas BK was defeated by 100 points with a player from Turkmenistan. Earlier, he defeated the Cambodian player by 100 points.
  • Devaki Shrestha lost to Mongolia and Indra Shrestha lost to players from Hong Kong.

  Tennis:  
  • Pradeep Khadka beat East Timor by 6-0 each in both sets and enter into the last 32.
  • Nepal lost on both men's and women's double. Abhilasha Bista & Mahika Rana were out from the first round in Women's double.
  • Pradeep Khadka & Abhisek Bastola lost to India by 6-2 & 6-3 sets in Men's double.

Shooting: Slisha Bhandari finished 47th and Sushmita Nepal finished 58th in women's 10m air rifles shooting. 59 players participated in the competition. 

  E-sports:   For e-football, Sameer Gurung of Nepal lost to Macau players by 21 points.

  Swimming:  Alex Shah finished on 8th position in 100m free style hit round

  Rugby:   Nepal lost to UAE by 9-0 in the rugby seven category.

Football at Asian Games 2023

Nepal will be participating in the women's football in the Hangzhou Asian Games which kicks off from 21st of September. A total of 16 nations will be participating in the female football competition.

The 2023 Cricket at Asian Games is kicking off from 27th of SeptemberNepal will be participating in the men's cricket tournament at the Hangzhou Asian Games which kicks off from 27th September. The competition will be played in T20I format with 13 teams participating. Out of top 4 T20I teams India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Pakistan, other 9 teams have been grouped in 3 groups.
